The Magnetic Tower of Hanoi game is an extension of the classic Towers of Hanoi game.
The game consists of a base, three poles and a number of size-ordered discs placed on a "source" pole. Similar to the classic version, the game's objective is to transfer all discs, one by one, to a "destination" pole (one of the two free poles).
In this extended version of the game however, every disc has two colors – "RED" and "BLUE".
Lifting a disc will cause it to flip so that its colors are interchanged (top RED becomes bottom RED and, necessarily, bottom BLUE becomes top BLUE).
Game rules:
A disc cannot be placed on top of a smaller disc.
Contact between similar colors is not allowed. For Example: lifting a disc with RED facing up, will make it flip so that now RED will face down. Hence this disc cannot be placed on top of a disc with RED facing up.
Think of the different colors as magnetic poles: opposites attract and likes repel (this is where the name of the game comes from).
Play Instructions:
Click on the disc you wish to transfer (or on the base of the pole carrying that disk).
Now click on the target pole.
Click "Undo" if you change your mind.
Try to solve a 3-disk Tower with 11 moves, a 4-disk Tower with 30 moves.
